Vineyard College
Vineyard College primarily offers ministry training by internship and has been equipping people like you for ministry since 1997. We want to help you recognise their unique gifts and abilities, as well as giving a thinking biblical base to the learning. Our internship programmes combine theory and learning by doing. The training occurs where you are, in your own church or organisation, with the people you already know, affecting the community you are already engaged with.
We are a Registered Private Training Establishment, accredited by the New Zealand Qualifications Authority and with NZQA’s highest quality ranking, a three yearly audit cycle.
Staff
Principal: Mark Brickell BA, Dip Tchng, Dip Grad Theol.
Together with his wife Cindy, Mark planted two of the early Vineyard Churches in New Zealand.
Starting with a few night school classes in 1996, they have since developed the college into a vibrant organisation that has students from a great variety of churches and organisations all across New Zealand.
Mark and Cindy have 4 children, a number of crazy animals, and live in the sunny Waitakere Ranges.
Student Dean: Martin Barratt BA (Hons), JNCII
Martin moved to New Zealand from the UK in 2009. He has been involved in the Vineyard Church movement for the last 10 years in the UK, USA and currently in New Zealand.
He came to faith and spent many years in the Anglican church, studied at a Baptist Theological College and was also involved with Soul Survivor. As well as having wide ranging pastoral and youth ministry experience, Martin is also a professionally qualified youth and community worker.
He is based in Wellington which is handy as he loves mountain biking.

Students
Currently we have around 50 full-time interns, 9 part-time interns and around 50 students doing other courses. Our students are from Vineyard and non Vineyard churches.
Certificate in Christian Ministry
• Full-time internship course [1 or 2 years]

• Full-time internship course [1 year]. Follows on from Certificate in Christian Ministry

Certificate in Spiritual Formation and Pastoral Care (Introductory)
• Our most flexible part time programme; useful for mission trips, homegroup activity etc.
• Can also be done full time over three months
• Cost $160.00
• You can begin this programme in any month of the year
• Internship Style; approx 80% practical, 20% academic
Pastoral Internship (Emerge)
• Vineyard Churches part-time internship for home group leaders, assistant pastors, youth leaders, etc
• Incorporates Vineyard College Certificate in Spiritual Formation and Pastoral Care (Introductory)
• Correspondence assignments & readings during the year
• 2 three day live-in intensives
