On p 32 "At home, we try to teach our people to pray first and preach later. We've found that almost anyone is open to prayer. Even fairly anti-Christian people respond positively to prayer... Our experience is that evangelism isn't so hard if someone has experienced God's love in the shape of an answered prayer."
I am really challenged to pray- pray for growth, do the preparation prayer and then ask to pray with people/ for people when they are having a rough time. I can do that- it seems a whole lot less intimidating....

Also, reading about the whole supported church plant thing.... this is new for Aotearoa Vineyard- so far most churches have been founded in isolation and with a faithful few. We need to learn and do the whole supported church plant thing- that's new for us. Much of our leadership has been releasing, "That's a great idea! Go and do it!" but not so much of the, "Let's mentor you through this. What do you need to get this done and how can you get these things/ resources/ people?" I am aware things are changing, but maybe we can make it more conscious.
